Christopher Bailey latest collection was indulging ethnic exotica handcrafts : crochet, beading, carving, weaving, braiding and printing on Burberry’s signature coats. The collection brought different silhouettes of trench coat and parka in various proportions. Outfits paired with full and pencil skirt length that fell right below the knees in a 40s line. The colors of the collection totally inspired by SS2012 closet. I am loving the pale wheat, chrome yellow, bright gold ochre, dark tan, sapphire blue and garnet red.

The collar of the trench coat was decorated with big geometric wooden beads that formed patterns around necklines. A super cool inspiration for a DIY project:)

I found the slouchy slash neck beaded crochet knit gave a touch of attitude to the jacket. The prints for sure had tribal edges which were inspired by the shapes of the legendary British artist Henry Moore.

The raffla bobble hats and woven wedges platforms were super cute!




In conclusion: Burberry Prorsum’s parka has taken the spotlight of the tradition trench coat. It’s a must have for the coming season!!!
