Jason Wu’s supremely feminine and modern sensibility designs have captured myself to be one of his fans. I admire his dedication on how to flatter the female form through his experience from life drawing. Now as Artistic Director for BOSS Womenswear, I am far more excited to see his vision and philosophy extending to another level. His concept for this collection: “To me the BOSS DNA feels really disciplined”, says Jason Wu, Artistic Director for BOSS Womenswear. “To contrast that rigour with softness and femininity, I looked no further than the HUGO BOSS headquarters in Metzingen. I was inspired by its amazing glass and steel architecture, juxtaposed with a beautiful landscape it’s set in. The idea of architecture meets nature felt quintessential to my vision for BOSS Womenswear.” It is a breathtaking moment to reveal his debut for FW14 HUGO first BOSS Womenswear Collection in New York.
To compose such appealing collection, I am proud and delighted to share with you all “THISISBOSS”. An exclusive video for Boss Womenswear shot by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, the Dutch icons of fashion photography. The video takes place in Philip Johnson’s world famous Glass House, the location itself already gives me an overwhelming curiosity of the collection. The storytelling starts off with Edie Campbell, top model and muse; runs off to a journey around crisp landscape and open building. Let’s wait and see how Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, captures Architecture meets nature meets fashion in the upcoming stunning video. By previewing THISISBOSS, the sharp color graphics with soft nature gives us a preview of another new level of elegant by Jason Wu.
