BOSS Womenswear FW14 – new generation new spirit

Before reading any reviews or press releases on BOSS Womenswear, I automatically noticed a strong sense of tailoring and menswear in Jason Wu’s first collection for BOSS Womenswear. The modern yet sophisticated silhouettes are the wow factor from this collection, which really attracted my attention. If you scan the looks from the head to toe, you might assume it will be styled with powerful heels. In contrast, Jason Wu paired majority of the looks with sleek patent tuxedo loafers. The tuxedo loafers pairing are absolutely genius. This styling brings out women’s confidence and attitude without additional height needed. New proportions have been presented in the collection by accentuating waistline with tailored coats. The use of cashmere and silk materials injects softness to subtle architecture sharp edges. Lastly, the tailoring extends to the bags that feature a very precise frame. It’s classic and desirable. Here are my favorite looks from the show and wishing to own a piece from the collection.
