Are you all feeling a light wind breeze in Hong Kong for the past few days? It’s time to add a few layers to your outfits and welcome Autumn! The very first thing that I would pull out from Autumn wardrobe are all my trench coats instead of knitwear ( I save that for November). On this “how to style” post, I will demonstrate how you can get 2 different looks from the same outfit by just changing your purse and shoes.
Look 1: Looking effortless posh while running errands
The chances of bumping into someone around your neighborhood or in the city is pretty high in Hong Kong. That’s why you want to be comfortable yet stylish while running errands.
- Styling Tips: The trench coat, sneakers and cropped top give you a laid back look. You want to incorporate one item that can polish up your overall look, instead of looking too relaxed. I suggest a sophisticated box purse to create this effortless chic feel. Also, keep your trench coat open, tie a knot at the back to open it up.
Look 2: Quick 5 min transformation to a dinner date
Sometimes we are too lazy to think what to wear after a long day of errands. This is where a trench coat makes life easier, because it can be transformed into a trench dress when pairing with an A-Line midi skirt.
- Styling Tips: Simply button up your trench and tie it tight on the waist line. This will give you a feminine figure and lengthen your lower body. The key is to pair it up with one of a kind accessories. Here, I picked a pair of watercolor floral pumps along with a mini purse. These items will refine your overall look without too many accessories.
