Recapping my trip from Dior Shanghai 2016, it was the perfect way to start off 2016. Peter Philips, Creative and image director of Christian Dior make-up, truly captured my interest in exploring make-up as an all around harmony of art. From inspirations of surrounds , colours, texture, one of a kind formulas to just a simple desire to” to make a women more beautiful in order to make them happier”. Previewing the latest collections (more to come) and able to experience the “Glowing Gardens” Spring collection myself was a kind of Cinderella moment.
How I styled Dior’s Runway Look 56?
I combined Dior’s Spring Collection ” 5 Couleurs Glowing Gardens” ( Rose Garden) to add an extra glow in my inner corner eyes. The transparent Tribal green earrings compliments my eyes and draws the focus to facial make-up against my pulled back hair. At first I hesitated to highlight my inner corner of my eyes, since I was afraid the colours would look bit awkward. But looking at the bigger picture from head to toe, I was confident in the overall styling. Looking in the mirror, I thought to myself if I haven’t highlighted my inner corners of my eyes then the total look would just look too “ordinary”. It’s important to seek for exploration not just in clothes and make-up itself but to combine the two together with an unique touch. I have combined a fw16 runway look with a Spring collection makeup. It adds a hint of Spring Glow from the Gardens to the contrasting bold prints turtle neck dress.
