Exclusive Interview with Felicity Jones, Global Brand Face for Clé de Peau Beauté

Coming back from Los Angeles, I am fully recharged with the LA vibes but most of all the precious experience with  Felicity Jones, the New Face of  Clé de Peau Beauté. I got a chance to do an interview with her to know more about what she thinks about the brand and some of her personal styling secrets. Her  aspirational personality and intellegnce has definitely made our conversation a one to remember. I still recall her speech during the relaunch event, she proudly says” a group of women, when a time of unity with our female friends is needed more than ever”. It’s the time for us to empower each other not for attention but to encourage each other to  be comfortable in our own skin and make an impact on the world and those around us.  How Clé de Peau Beauté and Felicity Jones ties perfect together, is that they share the same values of intelligent, uncompromising and exquisite.

What about Clé de Peau Beauté brand makes you feel confident ?

Clé de Peau Beauté is a brand that I find incredibly detailed on their work, everything that they do it about excellence from the way they run the campaigns, how they handle the products there is a sensitivity to it . I am very picky with the brands that I work with and Clé de Peau Beauté is a brand immediately I felt we have many similarities and ideology.

What is the best career and beauty advice your have ever received?

Best beauty advice is from my mother to always take off my make up before I go to bed. I try to do that all the time. If there are times I didn’t, I can hear my mom’s voice in my heart asking me why I didn’t take my make up off last night.

Career advice would be from Helen Mirren, who I worked with very early on. She always makes incredible choices in work and has great integrity in what she does. There are times I will always had anxiety after my work and worried a lot on the outcome, she would advise me to look at it as a bow and arrow shoot. You just got to shoot it with your full energy and see where it lands and don’t think about it.

You are well known as an English lady, how do you define that in your point of view as an English Lady?

There is a great battle for the perfect hair, you will know an English lady with frizzy hair due to the damp weather in England. There is some sort of humour when she talks that makes people want to be around her. The word lady has changed in time, for now I think being a lady is something to be proud of. It’s about having integrity in what you do, feeling comfortable in your own skin and being unafraid but at the same time you are sensitive to the world around you.

What is your must have make up you can keep forever?

A good black eyeliner and concealer for my dark circle that struggle. I like to focus on my upper eyelids, my tips is to put concealer all around my eyes to make it pop out. Clé de Peau Beauté does a really good concealer for coverage and texture.

How do you work your styling look? Make up first or outfit first?

I like to work around it, it need to compliment each other . For red carpet, I think it will come with the look first then how to work with my stylist and make up artist to adapt everything together .

Beauty secrets when you need to prepare for a role.

Whenever I am up for a role, I stay very disciplined to look my best in front of cameras. That means less drinking, exercises regularly, getting massages and rest to look after the inside. You really need to look after yourself. Comes a lot of discipline.

Have you ever gone to the “dark side” of make up?

Yes, I would say putting too much glitter eye shadow and lipstick when I was young.

Biggest weakness?

Salt and Vinegar Crisp.

What is your wardrobe guilty pleasure?

I am terrible with bags. My fiancé is drowning in my handbags, it’s just a disease I inherited from my grandmother and mother. Not sure why but I just always like to mix and match the perfect bag for my every looks. I love every bag in every shapes, even cotton bags.

If you had to pick a color to describe your life , what would it be?

I do love blue, but it’s a bit depressing to say my life is the color “blue”. So let’s go for pale blue is a better colour because it’s open, hopeful and signify life. Currently I am really enjoying and living my life. I feel very comfortable in my own skin and doing what I love.
